An Automated External Defibrillator or AED is the ideal solution for someone experiencing cardiac arrest as it is capable of providing a high-energy shock to help restore the heart’s rhythm. While anyone can use them, it’s best operated by someone trained to do so effectively. If you require any information or training on using defibrillators, we also offer expert training by qualified specialists.
Having a defibrillator in the workplace or community can help save lives, but it’s essential to know which type will best fit your requirements. We offer both options, but what’s the difference?
Both our fully automatic and semi-automatic AEDs will provide guidance to the user on how to operate the device and guide them through the process with clear steps. Each model will analyse the victim’s heart rhythm and determine whether a shock is required, but the functionality is slightly different.
As the name suggests, fully automatic defibrillators take the pressure off the user and automate the entire process, automatically delivering the shock to the patient with little to no input required. This style is ideal for those who are more hesitant about using the device or perhaps are in a state of shock if treating a loved one. It does, however, mean that the rescuer will need to be careful that no one is holding the patient’s hand during treatment as this can be a health risk for those with an already functioning heart.
Semi-automatic AEDs work in a very similar way to the fully automatic style. However, it will ask the rescuer to press a button when they are ready to deliver the shock to the patient. This is important because it gives you more control over when the shock is delivered, so you can ensure there is no one touching the patient that might interfere with the procedure. This means that it is entirely reliant on user interaction to provide the treatment. If you feel you would benefit from receiving training ahead of using a Semi-Automatic Defibrillator, feel free to get in touch.
The cost of a defibrillator varies depending on whether or not the model is fully or semi-automatic. Due to the advanced technology and features they boast, they can vary in cost. Coupled with the knowledge that they can be the difference between life and death, AEDs are the only solution for cardiac arrest. Ultimately, no matter which defib you choose, it will serve the purpose of giving a person the best possible chance of survival ahead of emergency services arriving at your location.
Not only do we deliver quality defibrillators and industry-leading training but also parts and accessories to existing devices for repairs, maintenance and ease of operation.
This includes the following:

Our defibrillator kits include indoor and outdoor choices for whether you need to situate the AED inside a building or in a prominent place for easy access for the whole community.
The indoor options are ideal for countless locations, including; offices, supermarkets, restaurants, schools and more. They are easily identifiable, including prominent signage.
Our outdoor options come with a defibrillator cabinet that can be wall-mounted and code locked to protect it from harsh weather conditions and vandalism.
80% of cardiac arrests outside of hospitals occur in the home. For your comfort, having access to a personal home defibrillator can put your mind at ease, equipping you with the ability to save a family or friend’s life.
For peace of mind on the go, our portable option has easy transportation and quick access, including all the necessary equipment needed to keep people safe.
Several of our defibrillator kits also come with onsite defibrillator training packages. If this is your first defibrillator, it can ensure your staff are appropriately educated on using one effectively. Qualified specialists instruct this course to ensure there is no confusion or panic should a participant need to use a defibrillator.
Cardiac arrests can affect anyone, at any time, from young children in schools to adults in workplaces or elderly members of the community. Without quick and effective treatment, the chances of fatality are around 94%. If a defibrillator is deployed to the cardiac arrest victim within 3 minutes, these chances decrease to 26%, which is why it is essential to always have quick access to a defibrillator.
While the packages we have prepared contain everything you need to save a life, you must adequately maintain them, so they are constantly in working order and rescue ready. If you can’t find a defibrillator package option that suits you, there are some defibrillator accessories you can buy separately, such as; spare batteries, electrode pads and more.
